Explore - Amuse

Like the theatrical production it is named for, Kismet is an “ecstasy of song, spectacle and love…”
a splendid medley of attention to the nuances of fine design and comfort in a spectacular Caribbean setting—with a plethora of ways to amuse yourself on your perfect vacation or retreat.

Courtyard with Pool and Hot Tub

The Courtyard is a central hub for friends and associates to enjoy at any time of day. Spacious with comfortable seating in sun or shade and fantastic views and breezes, yet very private.

Start your day with a refreshing dip in the pool, sunbathe in the courtyard or soak in the hot tub.

Tower

Spend the morning reading or taking in the astounding views from the open pavilion perched above the main house. With its intricate Moroccan tiles in a sun and moon motif accompanied by the comfortable built-in seating and constant breezes, this pavilion is a magical place for play, day or night.

Garden Paths

Wander the neatly manicured stone and grass paths to discover strategically located wrought iron benches for watching cruise ships pass or observe the Banana Kwits and King birds as they flitter between the trees.

Or encounter the hammock, a perfect place for an afternoon nap after a day hiking trails or swimming at one of St. John’s gorgeous beaches.

Great Room

As the day progresses into twilight, the spacious main house begins to beckon. Cool and sophisticated, the elegantly furnished living room encompasses a large and comfortable seating area, a game table with a wide assortment of games and puzzles, bar, CD stereo system with CD library and additional speakers in dining room. A Dell computer with internet wireless connection and printer is available for your convenience. High ceilings and deep inviting couches with large views of the pool deck and a wall of windows looking west through the gardens to St. Thomas, oriental rugs, museum quality inlaid Moroccan tile, and custom furnishings are complemented by fine art and ornate light fixtures.

Home Theater

As evening falls and night activities call there is a full size Home Theater adjacent to the living room. With a richly trimmed ceiling reminiscent of the glory days of Hollywood, a 55” LED screen, 5.1 Dolby Digital Surround sound system, six theatre reclining chairs and a large library of films, Kismet may be the only villa in St. John with a Home Theatre. The room has multilevel flooring for optimum viewing by all. Sound proofing and thick carpeting add to the comfort of the viewers’ experience. Presently there are over 700 DVD’s, with many hundreds more Laser Discs and Videotaped films. DVD’s are stored in out-of-sight storage-players with a voluminous list of films appearing on the plasma screen for your choosing with a click of the remote. Newer films and BluRay discs are constantly being added to the library.

Billiard and Game Room

For those who want more physical involvement in their entertainment the Game Room may be the place to spend an enjoyable evening. Billiards, darts, a Sony Play Station as well as a WII game console with games for both and a wet bar with refrigerator are offered in air conditioned comfort. Two daybeds add extra comfort and sleeping accommodations. There is ample room for a visiting massage therapist to set up a table and a full bath for optimal convenience and privacy.
